ITINERARY

Excursions to the Mayan Riviera ruins of Chichen Itza, Coba and Tulum are the most popular and have the best customer reviews. First of all, on this excursion in the Riviera Maya we will visit the Punta Laguna Reserve, a beautiful natural environment managed by a Mayan Community, located in the middle of the wild jungle.

Before going into the jungle in search of the spider monkey and the howler monkey, we will participate in a purification ceremony performed by the Shaman.

We will show off our canoeing skills on the largest lagoon in the Yucatan Peninsula; its almost 90,000 m2 will leave us in awe of its spectacular beauty.

Let’s prepare our adrenaline reserves that will be shot in the zip line of 240 meters, and whose descent will allow us to appreciate from another perspective the spectacular waters of the lagoon.

Coba Cenotes Tour

Next, we will rappel down a subway cenote, which will immerse us in its cool waters and envelop us in the serene and enigmatic mysticism of the place. Bathing in a cenote is a magical experience.

After the relaxing bath we will enjoy the hospitality of the locals in a typical Mayan house, where we will be able to see their way of life and learn about their habits, traditions and customs.

Archaeological ruins of Coba and lunch at a Mayan restaurant

We finish the morning with a delicious traditional Mayan lunch and, after a rest, we will visit the archaeological site of Coba and its ruins, where a guide will give us detailed and complete information.

After seeing the ruins and before heading back to the hotel(s), we will have free time to climb the 42-meter Nohoch Mul, the highest Mayan temple.

Also consult and make a reservation for an excursion to
Chichen Itza.

Very good We are a group of 4 friends going to Riviera Maya in December. We are looking at plans and pricing, and have some questions. - Where do the tours depart from? Is there a pick-up point in Cancun? - Is there a surcharge depending on the pick-up point? - How many people must there be at least to form a group? Best regards and thanks in advance!

We plan to be in Akumal in September. I am interested in the Coba Exotic excursion but we are big and we are not up for the rappel and zip line (and my husband is not up for the cenote adventure either). Can it still be done or is it essential to do it? What is the price in dollars or in Mexican pesos? Thank you very much

Our excursion agency is known for leaving very early in the morning to be the first to arrive at the archaeological sites.
Early in the morning there are hardly any people and it is much less hot, so arriving early you will certainly be able to take the best pictures of the day. You will notice that when we leave the ruins a lot of people start to enter.

In Spain the exchange rate from euro to Mexican peso is usually very low, both in banks and at the airport exchange houses. The best place to find it is in Playa del Carmen on Quinta Avenida. In the hotels you will also be able to change money and the exchange rate will be a little lower than in Playa del Carmen. If you are planning to go to Playa del Carmen you can take advantage of it. If you are not going to change much, it is not really worth going specifically to change, you can do it at the hotel.

The Riviera Maya is Mexico’s tourist destination par excellence and a major destination for tourists from all over the world, which is why maintaining tourist safety in this state is fundamental for the government.

Our advice is that you can move around the Riviera Maya with total tranquility, always taking the same precautions as in any other place (go through the tourist areas and do not go into the suburbs, at night go accompanied…). It is a place to enjoy it to the maximum with total tranquility!

It depends on where you use it. If it is in the hotel or in prestigious establishments, there should not be any inconvenience. It is true that there is a lot of card cloning fraud in small establishments in Playa del Carmen.
